Theme Sets
Few, if any, industries are perfect from society’s point of view. The vast majority impose both costs and benefits directly and indirectly to society. These can take the forms of at least some deaths, injuries and illness. Industries also impose environmental pollution costs etc. But they survive and prosper only in so far as they provide society with many benefits such as employment opportunities and the satisfaction of numerous human wants and needs.
The modelling industry is no exception and has its fervent critics. As part of the general modelling industry Glamour Girls does have a conscience and wishes to help offset some of those costs and valid, associated criticisms by trying to do some good in the world by addressing a few important political, social, economic and environmental issues in a number of ways.
One way is through this theme picture set section of the website by the subtle addressing of these issues.
This section of the web site also aims to add content, hopefully interest and a bit of mild humour to the web site. We are not going for the raucous belly laugh or the profound philosophical insight although it would be good if we do at least occasionally achieve these things. Instead we are primarily aiming for the chuckle or the smile, the positive nod of the head and the exclamation of the knowing, "Ah yes". We're also supposed to be a professional but fun agency which gives, and encourages models to take, opportunities to express themselves. From the model's point of view perhaps the main purpose is simply to increase her/his exposure on the website to a global audience and to help give the models more work and more modelling experience.
We are also proud of being different, “Viva la difference!” Perhaps we are also the "thinking persons’s" model agency that tries to make modelling as accessible and affordable as possible to its models.
But apart from the above lofty motives for the theme sets Glamour Girls on occasion simply has the opportunity to photograph a model or models in situations where their outfits fit with or suggest a theme or idea. For all these reasons and more we present for you sets of our Glamour Girls in photo shoots with a theme. We hope you enjoy them :)
